The firm was founded on a single constraint: no transactional practice, no regulatory advisory practice, nothing that creates a client we would rather not offend. That constraint is why we can accept instructions against parties other firms are conflicted out of, and why our advice on the merits arrives without commercial hedging.
Matters are staffed small and senior. The lawyer who argues the case is the lawyer who has been in the documents since the first week.
Fee arrangements
Where local professional rules permit, the firm takes claims on a contingent or partly contingent basis. A counterparty should assume the firm is paid more for winning than for billing.
Several claims can be financed as a single portfolio, which allows a client with one strong case and three difficult ones to bring all four.
